Héloïse Bernard

VOICE

Originally from Paris, French soprano Héloïse Bernard completed a Masters in French Literature and a curriculum in acting before devoting herself to singing. She has lived and studied in the Netherlands, Estonia and Scotland, where she has settled. During her studies, she was fortunate to receive tutoring in the field of Early Music by Evelyne Tubb, Emma Kirkby, Jan Waterfield.

 

Héloïse is active in the early music scene, and performs as a soloist with duo Cordes en Ciel, the Linarol Consort of Viols, the Spinacino Consort, and the historical dance society Autrefois.

 

She is featured in the recording of Eccles’ Semele by the Academy of Ancient Music in the role of Iris, and will also appear on the soon to be released recording based on the Songbook of Marguerite of Austria, with the Linarol Consort of Viols.

 

Héloïse sang Dido in Dido and Aeneas by Purcell with the Young Northern Baroque ensemble in Tallinn, Estonia; Amore, in Monterverdi’s Incoronazione di Poppea with OrQuesta in London; Susanna in Mozart’s Figaro with the Orchestra of Castello in Spain.
