Kaisa Pulkkinen is a versatile musician who enjoys performing on both recorder and harp exploring repertoire from medieval dances to contemporary works.
She studied the recorder at Metropolia University in Helsinki and early harp at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. The Finnish Cultural Foundation and the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation generously supported her studies.
Kaisa regularly works with groups such as Poeticall Musicke, Bagatino and Royal Baroque, performing throughout the UK and abroad. Highlights of her career have included performances at the Renaissance Festival in Yehiam (Israel), the Echi Lontani Festival in Cagliari (Sardinia) and at the Ancient and Baroque Music Festival in Peñiscola (Spain). In 2016 she performed in a successful production of The Wild Man of Orford with Rust & Stardust Productions within the Brighton Fringe Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Kaisa has recorded for the Finnish National Radio and the record label Veterum Musica.
