Senel Uzun is an aspiring theatre/film director and actress who adores the world of arts. She is currently a student at the University of Sussex and is undertaking a BA Joint Honours degree in Drama and English Literature with a study year abroad. Whilst on her year abroad at Hendrix College she directed, advertised, and created the set for her adaptation of the expressionist play Machinal by Sophie Treadwell. She also shadowed and assistant directed award-winning director Lillian Waddington in her 2023 show of A Drop In the Ocean written by Kathryn Webb. Apart from her recent admiration for directing, since she was eight years old, she has always been involved in acting and singing. Taking on lead roles in her school musicals of Beauty and the Beast, The Producers, performing monologues and dance pieces in Winter and Spring concerts, and was even a scare actress in Tulley’s Shocktober Fest in 2021.
