Sarah sang as Cambridge University undergraduate in Pembroke College Chapel Choir; then trained as an actress at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, alongside which she took her ABRSM Diploma in classical singing.
She has been a soprano in the Philharmonia Chorus since 2009, singing large-scale choral repertoire in major concert venues across the UK, but most regularly in the Royal Festival and Royal Albert Halls. Her opera credits include Iolanta (Royal Albert Hall), Don Carlo (Grange Park Opera), HMS Pinafore (Minack Theatre), and The Mikado (Cambridge Arts Theatre). She sings jazz with small ensembles, following membership in her youth of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
As an actress, theatre has included God of Carnage, The King's Speech, The Norman Conquests, Stepping Out and Home, I'm Darling (Frinton Summer Theatre); What's in a Name? (UK Tour); The Winslow Boy (Chichester/UK Tour); The Shakespeare Revue (Theatr Clwyd); I Know You of Old (Hope Theatre); The Dresser (Duke of York's Theatre/UK Tour); Macbeths (Hope/Broadway Theatre); Yes, Prime Minister (UK Tour); Celebrity Night at Café Red (Trafalgar Studios); Masters, Are You Mad? and Twelfth Night (Grosvenor Park Theatre); The Shape of Things (Arts Theatre); and The Country Wife (Bristol Old Vic).
Sarah has narrated more than fifty audiobooks, and performed for BBC Radio 4 in dramas including Fraud v. Fraud Hunter, A Small Town Murder, The Corrupted, Ballet Shoes, and four Books of the Week (BBC Radio 4); plus podcast drama series The Magnus Protocol; and Cry Havoc! Ask Questions Later (Rusty Quill).
