The Telling Intern Scheme is aimed at anyone looking for arts administration work experience within an exciting, growing music and theatre touring organisation. We are reasonably flexible; we can allocate tasks depending on your other commitments and focus on your interests as long as you can commit to at least 10 hours per week of remote working from August - October 2023 with the option of continuing until December 2023. Please note this is a voluntary role with paid travel expenses.
Artistic Director, Clare Norburn has helped many people secure their first jobs including at Academy of Ancient Music, Royal Albert Hall, British Youth Opera and the Philharmonia Orchestra.

How To Apply
To apply, submit the form below by Friday 30 June, 5pm. Interviews will take place from 10 - 13 July and tasks will be allocated to the successful applicants ASAP.
There will also be opportunities to join us live for hands-on experience of set up and working on the door at select dates on our tours from 11-15 October, 23-26 November and 2-16 December depending on your location and availability. We will cover travel expenses.
Main duties

Take a lead on planning and implementing social media and e-newsletter marketing campaigns

Identify potential new audiences and plan targeting strategies

Identify any potential barriers in the local community for people attending The Telling events and brainstorm how to overcome them

Build relationships within the local communities of our touring locations

Form marketing partnerships with similar organisations

Updating event listing websites

Distribute publicity around your local area (if applicable)

Shadow the concert manager at select tour stops (if possible)
Person specification
Essential:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
