Miriam Nohl
Cello
Northumbrian cellist and viola da gamba player, Miriam Nohl, was an undergraduate at York University before she completed a Masters at the Royal Academy of Music. Miriam graduated in 2019 and has since been playing for numerous Early Music groups across the UK, including Yorkshire Baroque Soloists, Instruments of Time and Truth, Eboracum Baroque, with the Orchestra of the Age Enlightenment Education team, and further afield at the DAVOS international festival in Switzerland! A few highlights for Miriam have been performing Dido and Aeneas with La Nuova Musica at the BBC proms, delivering a series of children’s concerts at Handel Hendrix House (Wigs n Wiggles!), and she has greatly enjoyed being a Stoller Hall and Brighton Early Music Festival Young Artist with The Portrait Players over the last two years. Miriam teaches cello at Highgate School, tutors for the Benedetti Foundation, and is currently on the Live Music Now scheme where she performs in care homes and schools.
